Therapy for Anxiety in Florida & Alabama

Anxiety can feel like a constant hum in the background of your life—quietly draining you. You overthink texts, say yes when you want to say no, and carry the pressure to be “okay” for everyone else. Inside, it’s exhausting.

How Anxiety Shows Up and Why It’s Not All in Your Head

Anxiety isn’t just panic. You might feel:

  • Overanalyzing conversations or decisions

  • Difficulty saying no or setting boundaries

  • Physical tension, racing thoughts, or burnout

  • Fear of disappointing others

  • Feeling “too much” or “not enough”

This isn't weakness—it's your nervous system reacting to past experiences, beliefs, or burnout. EMDR helps get to the root of it.

Let’s Get to the Root of It

Anxiety is often your nervous system’s way of protecting you—but when it gets stuck in overdrive, it can control your life. In EMDR Intensives, we go beyond surface-level coping tools.

Instead of just managing symptoms, we focus on:

  • Exploring the root causes—past experiences or beliefs

  • Gently reprocessing triggers and thought loops

  • Building nervous system regulation skills

  • Creating space for self-compassion and calm

What we’ll explore

  • The “why” behind your anxiety—what past experiences or beliefs are fueling it

  • How to identify and shift negative thought patterns that keep you stuck

  • Nervous system regulation techniques to help you feel calm and in control

  • A deeper understanding of your emotional triggers and how to respond with compassion

  • Permission to prioritize yourself without guilt

I offer virtual and in-person EMDR Intensives for anxiety in both Florida and Alabama, and I'd be honored to support you on your healing journey. Whether you're just beginning to explore therapy or ready to go deeper, I’m here to help you rediscover your calm, your voice, and your power.

What Makes EMDR Intensives Different?

  • Ideal for adults, teens, and older children

This is a collaborative, supportive space where your story matters. You’ll never be rushed or shamed here. You’ll be heard, understood, and reminded that you are not a burden—you’re human.

You Deserve More Than Just Coping

You deserve ease. You deserve rest. You deserve to take up space in your own life.

This work is powerful—and you don’t have to do it alone.

 FAQs

  • If you’ve tried traditional therapy and still feel stuck in anxiety loops, EMDR Intensives may be a great fit. They allow us to work more deeply and efficiently by targeting the root causes of anxiety in a focused, structured timeframe.

  • Traditional therapy typically meets weekly and focuses on ongoing support. An EMDR Intensive condenses months of therapy into one or more longer sessions, allowing us to process trauma, anxiety triggers, and negative beliefs in a powerful, accelerated way.

  • Yes. EMDR doesn’t require you to have a specific memory or clear reason for your anxiety. We work with what’s coming up in the present and allow your brain and body to guide us toward what needs healing.

  • Absolutely. While EMDR works on a deeper, subconscious level, I also help clients build a strong foundation of nervous system regulation tools so you can feel more grounded between sessions.

  • That’s a valid concern—and one I take seriously. EMDR Intensives are tailored to your capacity, and we’ll move at a pace that feels safe and supported. You’ll never be pushed to go further than you’re ready for.

  • Yes! I offer both in-person and virtual EMDR Intensives for clients in Florida and Alabama. Virtual intensives are just as effective and include extra support to help you prepare and decompress.

  • Definitely. Many of my clients experience anxiety related to ongoing stress, perfectionism, relationship dynamics, or childhood emotional neglect—what we sometimes call “little t” trauma. EMDR is effective for all of the above.

  • I’m an EMDR intensive specialist in Pensacola, Florida. I work with clients in my office in Pensacola or virtually throughout Florida and Alabama.
